A conceptual self-portrait combining two emotional states through a reflected figure

Creative portfolio

Built to be
different.

Ideas where photography becomes more than documentation—using composition, experimentation and post-production to express something that a single moment cannot.

Behind the image

With the camera.
Without it.

This self-portrait is built from two separate photographs. Above the reflection, I’m holding my camera—the place where I feel focused, fulfilled and most like myself.

In the reflected image, the camera is gone and the body language changes. The second version becomes quieter and more withdrawn, representing the sadness and disconnection I feel when that creative outlet is missing.

By merging both states into one believable reflection, the photograph turns an ordinary puddle into a visual divide between two versions of the same person.
